Smart No Dilation is available at Five Parks Vision.

We use the OPTOS ultra wide-field camera (scanning laser technology) to fully examine the back of your eye.  It allows the doctor to check for cancer, bleeding, retinal detachments, glaucoma, age related macular degeneration and many other disease processes.

We do not have to give you the eye drops which is the usual method but causes blurry vision and sensitivity to light for approximately 4-6 hours.  The fee is $38, not yet covered by insurance.  It becomes a permanent baseline record for your eye history and no side effects!

Optos introduced retinal imaging with ultra-widefield (UWF™) scanning laser technology to provide a photograph of the fundus to support practitioners diagnosing, analyzing, documenting and monitoring ocular pathology that may first present in the periphery.

Without UWF technology, pathology in the periphery may go undetected using traditional examination techniques and equipment. Optos has several ultra-widefield high resolution imaging devices available with simultaneous non-contact pole-to-periphery views of more than 80% or 200˚ of the retina in a single patient friendly capture.
